Critical SharePoint Security Vulnerability

If you are using SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016 or 2019 server. Then you need to be aware of security vulnerability that was discovered by Canadian Centre of cyber security

It was discovered that a campaign that is currently compromising several versions of Microsoft SharePoint Server in order to deploy the China Chopper web shell.

To protect your environment using this attack you need to apply the patches relevant to your SharePoint environment:

SharePoint 2010 Suite:

• KB 4462184 – SharePoint Server 2010 (core components)

SharePoint 2013 Suite:

• KB 4462208 – SharePoint Foundation 2013 (core components)
• KB 4462202 – SharePoint Server 2013 (core components)

SharePoint 2016 Suite:

• KB 4462211 – SharePoint Server 2016 (language independent)

SharePoint 2019 Suite:

• KB 4462199 – SharePoint Server 2019 (language independent)
