How to monitor inappropriate communications in Office 365?

You have HR and legal policies in your company that prohibits offensive language, with Office 365 you can control and monitor that.

Let us create a policy to monitor offensive words:

Go to this link https://protection.office.com/supervisoryreviewv2

Then press create

This will open this screen, enter the policy name and description then press next

Add the users you want to supervise

Then choose the communication you want to review

For test purpose we will set that we want to review 100% of communications

I will select the reviewer then I will press next and then finish

Now if i go back to supervision page https://protection.office.com/supervisoryreviewv2

I will see that the policy is created

I will click on it

This will open the policy pop up, then press on Open

In mean while we have used other account and send offensive email to trigger the policy and appear in the items to be reviewed.

When we open the policy, we will see there is pending item for review

click on pending item you will get the offensive email that was sent, and you can tag it after review as compliant or not or it is still questionable and once you decide about it, you can forward it to HR or other team to take actions per your company policy
